We use the popular open source project FFmpeg as the core playback system. You can download the source code we used in the current version here. The archive file contains instructions on how to build the LGPL version we use.

Yes, it's free. No, no strings attached. We believe software like a media player, which is relatively simple software, should be free. We offer it free for both personal and business use, as long as you don't charge money for it.
